SummerNight Downtown Art Walk postponed until Saturday, June 18 | Arts & Culture
AUBURN, AL - The 5th Annual SummerNight Downtown Art Walk in Auburn has been postponed until Saturday, June 18 from 6-9:30pm. The event will be held in downtown and officials hope it will become the city's newest summer tradition.
SummerNight is a way for folks to unwind after a long week.
Downtown merchants and restaurants will remain open after regular business hours. People of all ages are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity to shop, dine and relax while enjoying the arts in downtown Auburn.
Artists will have their works on display and live musical entertainment will be provided by local favorites, Spoonful James, Pangea Jam, and John Peterson. Spoken Word Poetry by Kolayah Kee-Van Wilson will also be featured. Below is the detailed entertainment schedule.
Main Performance Area (Located on Magnolia Avenue and Gay Street)
Spoonful James 6 – 7:15 p.m.
Children’s Parade with Aubie 7:15 p.m.
Spoonful James 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Additional Stage (Located in front of Tichenor Avenue)
John Peterson 6 – 7:15 p.m.
Pangea Jam 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Children also have an opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, enjoy inflatables, and walk in a Children’s Parade with Aubie. Don’t miss out on this great, family-friendly experience!
College Street from Thach Avenue to Tichenor Avenue and Magnolia Avenue from Wright Street to Gay Street will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday, June 18 from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Additional parking is available at Regions Bank, First Baptist Church of Auburn, and Auburn United Methodist Church.
