Auburn Fire Division suspends open burning permits | Environment
Title (Max 100 Characters)
As of Monday October 29, 2012, the Auburn Fire Division has suspended all open burning permits until further notice. The “No Burn Order” is due to the current drought, low relative humidity, low fuel moisture, and high wind conditions which can result in a high risk of extreme fire conditions. A continued "Red Flag Warning" issued by the National Weather Service indicates fires may grow rapidly and extend quickly under these conditions. Therefore, all permitted open burning in the City of Auburn is suspended until conditions improve.
Any questions can be directed to Auburn Fire Division administration at 334-501-3160 or 334-501-3110.
