Join Auburn Parks and Recreation for the final Friday Night Splash of the season on Friday, Aug. 26 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Samford Pool. Admission is just $2/person or FREE with your 2011 Splash Pass. Activities include swimming, games, trivia, music, and hot dogs on the grill! Bring the family and your friends and join us as we send the summer pool season out in style!

Don't forget, Samford Pool is open on weekday afternoons and all weekend through Labor Day. Please note, Samford Pool will be closed on Saturday, Sept. 3 for the AU home football game. The pool will reopen on Sunday, Sept. 4 for regular hours.  Don't miss our special all day open swim on Monday, Sept. 5 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Opposing the Beason-Hammon Act, known as HB 56, Alabama’s controversial new anti-immigrant and anti-civil rights law, will be the focus of an interfaith and social justice vigil and press conference in Auburn  on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

                The Auburn Ministerial Association and the Standing on the Side of Love Alliance are sponsoring the gathering beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the southwest corner of Ross and Glenn Streets on the lawn to the side of the Department of Public Safety.
